Overview

This manual describes how to configure Insight Control Panel products such as Insight Explorer, Insight Mobile and Insight X-Ray using Insight Config.

Insight Config is the configuration platform for Insight Control Panel. Each perspective, such as Insight Mobile, Insight Explorer, etc. uses Insight Config configurations to define their data model, layout, actions and permissions.

Maximo & OpenJET

Insight Control Panel is available for IBM Maximo as well as for the openJET platform. Configuration is valid for both systems except otherwise specified.

This specification follows the properties in the config file because these are essential for Insight Control Panel behavior (even if you are using the Insight Config editor ‘the moment of truth’ is defined in the config file).

Installation of Insight Control Panel is not part of this manual.
